To start a school is to obey the order of Almighty God as Bible says, “You, therefore, must be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect.” (Mathew 5:48). School converts a common man into a connoisseur and a coy into a creative one.
We are in an era where amount of knowledge is expanding exponentially every second. Chase of facts and figures will be a wild goose chase. We have to educate our children for life. It remains the point of prime importance while setting-up a new school to set the right tone of education. Higher and nobler aim of education should not be lost in process and means like books and examinations. We must remember that books and examinations are not the education. B.F. Skinner has rightly said, “Education is what survives when what has been learnt has been forgotten.”
At school stage the students have to learn rational thinking, building on innovative ideas and not being attached to results while doing their best in all their endeavours. Learning, ‘to learn’ is more important than learning a lesson. A Chinese proverb says, “Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day, teach him how to fish, he will eat for life time.” Education shall empower students to know themselves. They should be able to see the life in totality.
We believe in providing both intellectual and value based education that builds good character and positive attitude towards life. Quality education at an affordable cost at this remotely located and backward area of Chhattisgarh is the challenge, we have accepted.
Judicious mix of academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, implemented under keen supervision and strict discipline will produce the desired result. Students are made aware of small progress they make every time, which generates self-motivation and there is no looking back after that.
I express my gratitude to the guardians/ parents, teaching staff and non teaching staff who have confided their faith in this newly raised school and are working whole-heartedly towards the success of the mission of the school.
